Improved and revised, the Katahdin is the second generation of Equinox Ultralite packs. The bottom cinch strap has been aligned with the hip belt to offer improved "in-line" weight transferal to the hips. The hip belt offers additional padding in the lower lumbar region for improved stability and comfort. The shoulder straps have been slightly raised to help distribute weight on the hips.
