Description Features
The Voltaic Array Solar Backpack both carries and charges your laptop via the included V60 universal battery. It will also charge cell phones, tablets and digital cameras. The front solar pocket can be removed and attached to other bags for convenient charging. It has 1,500 cubic inches of storage, a padded laptop sleeve, and plenty of other pockets for storing your usual necessities.

  • Three 3.4 Watt solar panels generate power in sunlight. They are waterproof, lightweight, and built to withstand abuse.
  • Power: 10 Watts total peak output at 6 or 18 Volts (selectable depending on charging application)
  • Charge times:1 hour in direct sun provides up to 30 minutes of run time on a laptop. 1.5 hours of direct sun fully charges a typical cell phone.

  • V60 Universal Laptop Battery
  • Included battery is specially designed to charge efficiently from solar and has 60 Watt hours of capacity for use anytime. When not in the sun, the battery can be charged using the included AC Charger or DC car charger, making it just as useful on the grid as off.
  • Charge time: V60 battery fully charges from 15 hours of direct sun or 6 hours from AC or DC chargers.
  • Capacity: 16,000 mAh, 60 Watt hour capacity
  • Output: 5V/2A USB output and selectable 12V/4A, 16V/3.5A, 19V/3A DC output
  • Input: 14-20 V, 1.2 A

  • Detachable Charging Section: Solar charging section zips off and can be attached to another bag, bike rack, etc. with the included straps and clips.
  • Padded laptop pocket: Dedicated pocket fits up to a 17" laptop (17" MacBook, larger 17" laptops may not fit)
  • Wire channels: placed throughout the bag for cables and bladder tubes
  • Built for Comfort: High density padding in the shoulder straps and back. Mesh backing material for better air flow.

  • Apple: Pre-June 2012 requires optional reconfigured MagSafe 1 adapter or Apples' Airline adapter connected to our optional car charger socket.. Post June-2012 MacBooks require the Apple MagSafe to MagSafe 2 adapter. See more about making the connection here. Dell: Voltaic's external battery will not re-charge the battery on the Dell, but it will run the laptop. This means you should not run your Dell battery completely flat when planning to use an external battery. HP Business: HP Business laptops will require an optional adapter "7.4x5.1x0.6mm HP" here. Others including Acer, ASUS, HP, Lenovo, Samsung Toshiba and VAIO: Using the included adapter set, we've been able to connect to and charge every modern 15" or smaller laptop we've tested. Asus: Eee PC Netbooks (19V setting, requires optional 2307 adapter).
